La Mercanti proposes a modern design for Metallix Refining head office

Maria Piastre, President of Metallix Refining, choose Jera modern executive office furniture from Las Mobili for her office located in New Jersey.

Metallix Refining has been the leader and innovator in the precious metals recycling industry for more than 50 years.

We worked with Maria and Alan, the marketing manager and project leader on the refurbishment of the Head Office, to find the best layout, select adequate finishes and cabinets.

Jera is an executive collection designed with a distinctly architectural approach that plays with vertical and horizontal elements. The power of the design comes from the thick surfaces and the joinery between the planes.

The L-shape desk has a monolithic extension on the left side, equipped with two doors, two drawers and a rectangular grommet for wire management. The grey elm wooden top creates a perfect contrast with the dark grey colour of the leg and the half-open modesty panel.

The Jera collection is characterized by strong and essential lines, in a combination of classic and modern feel. This desk is the synthesis of alternating planes and volumes, materials and finishes which, when placed against a wall, turn into innovative totem furniture. The assembly team we work with in this area has installed three totem cabinets along the wall near the entrance door. These pieces allow storing objects and files in an elegant way through glass shelves, drawers and doors.

Moreover, we added a floating cabinet under the big TV screen, on the wall facing the desk. Light wooden doors embrace the hung element that highlight the neatness of volumes. Storage units communicate with the thick surfaces creating articulated compositions.

The desk is surrounded by an executive chair and two guest chairs from the Jera line, fully upholstered in anthracite leather to match the desk base and deskpad.

Jera is a modern executive chair with a high backrest and a padded headrest that allow to tastefully furnish refined and representative work environments, executive and managerial offices. The gas lift and the chromed tilting mechanism with forward pivot point guarantee great comfort.

The swivel guest chairs with chromed pyramidal base and low backrest combine a modern and elegant style.

We added two meeting chair with reclining seat, covered in orange leather, giving a warm and cozy look.

Wood and leather characterize the different pieces of furniture, creating a clear distinction between the elements. An aesthetic and tactile effect, modern and sophisticated.

La Mercanti Italian office furniture – Beverly Hills

We worked with Adeet Madan Interior Design on a large office project at M.K. Diamonds & Jewelry which is a highly regarded jewelry manufacturer based in Beverly Hills, California: executive desks and modern desks made in Italy.
Adeet specializes in residential interior design and we cooperated with constancy in order to choose the right pieces of furniture for each space.

For the large open working area, we selected the desks from the 5th Element collection by Las Mobili, a highly operational system for a contemporary and functional working environment. 5th Element is the answer to the needs of workspaces for which the watchwords are efficiency, compactness and easiness to equip. The desks are equipped with fabric sound absorbing partitions, monitor arms, drawer units on wheels, modesty panels and load-bearing cabinets that perfectly meet their structural function and ensure adequate wiring for each workstation. In the center, we placed the 5th Element bench version alternating single and double workstations that add functionality and aesthetic value to the office space. The multiple workstations optimize space and interaction, so everyone can define his/her personal space in a place designed for coworking. The grey oak desktops perfectly match the anthracite metal legs and storage units. We also added some hung cabinets and totem cabinets from the Jera executive collection characterized by strong and essential lines.
For the accountant’s office, we selected the Essence executive collection from Uffix. The L-shape executive desk, the credenza and an elegant long shelf create an intimate and welcoming contemporary atmosphere. We added a high modular filing cabinet with bottom wooden doors and upper smoke glass doors. The colour combination give an immediate warm and harmonic feeling, due to the tactile effect of the Earth finish.

Glass and mirrored surfaces characterize the main offices, furnished with the Air desk systems by Gallotti & Radice, designed by Pinuccio Borgonovo. Glass, in its various shapes, emphasizes the value of the desks by exalting their role. The Air collection represents the lightness, transparency and elegance that vehemently penetrate the office space. The success of this collection is largely owing to the concept of novel aesthetics and to the elegance of a timeless design. These luxury glass desks with linear forms are the expression of a minimalist design. We combined extralight transparent and smoked “grigio Italia” glass surfaces with aluminium structures and satin painted glass load-bearing cabinets. The walls are covered with elegant Elle Plus 10 boiseries composed of dark wooden strips, transparent shelves of different lengths and mirrored glass strips to create intriguing light and reflection effects.

The best option for the conference room was the Fortyfive Ninety table by Ideal Form Team. Essential lines, the merger of technique and art in a powerful solution consisting of pure volumes and tiny details represented by the white veined marble top and the minimalist style of the metal structure.

Amc Lease LLC in Texas chooses La Mercanti to renovate the office space

This project was born from the contact with Alejandro Medina, the owner of AMC Lease. This company is the leading leasor of 53’ Air-Ride Dry Vans in South Texas and they have been in business for over 8 years and have a combined experience in the industry of over 20 years.

Alejandro reached La Mercanti through our US partner and the first time he spoke with us by phone, he explained he had to remodel his office space and wanted to choose something different from what was proposed by the local American dealers: a modern executive office space.

We started looking through a lot of options, but he soon fell in love with Enosi Evo collection, designed by Nikolas Chachamis. What makes this collection unique is the mix of modern and elegant touch, clearly identifiable through the cone-shaped metal legs, the well balanced materials and the graphic style of the storage units. The desk Alejandro chose is in extra white glass, resting on a service unit in white lacquered finish, with both drawers and doors.
Following his taste in combining white and red hues, we proposed a modular bookcase made of some units with white doors, others with white drawers and a couple of open compartments in matt red lacquered finish. Another low credenza furnishes the office, with six hinged doors.
The glass surface of the desk is, for sure, the focus point of the office, that attracts light and creates captivating reflections. The polished chrome plated foot in contrast with the white matt coated leg creates a pleasant and elegant effect.
On the other hand, the modularity and the design of the storage units represent the most modern and contemporary solution for the world of work, that consolidates its efficient and dynamic nature, elegant but not static.

Finally, the chairs choice fell on Jera type by Orlandini Design. The executive one has a 5 spokes die-cast aluminium base and the great comfort is increased by the upholstered headrest and seat. The visitor chairs instead are on a chromed pyramidal base. Both types are covered in dark red real leather, making a strong colour impact with the rest of the furniture in total white. The shapes of this model of chair, clear and neatly outlined, are enhanced by the possibility of having a smooth upholstery or sewn bands. Style and comfort are perfectly harmonized.
