Smoov: the automatic warehouse for everyone

In October there was the presentation of SMOOV ASRV in Milan.

There were experts, professors and entrepreneurs who wanted to combine their knowledge about business logistics and their professionalism. There was also La Mercanti: Andrea Bollettini

SMOOV doesn’t born as a new competitor, but as an instrument for the current logistics operators to provide an automation solution, at low cost compared to traditional automatic warehouses to an audience of very large companies.

Smoove ASRV (Automated Storage & Retrivial Vehicle) is a shuttle that moves directly on shelving, integrated by tracks for sliding in both directions and is able to go and pick up, cash in and move independently and freely euro pallets weighing up to 1000 kg, without being connected to cables or constraints which can limit the operation.

Behind all there are some sophisticated software that allow the management, the planning and the control of all ASRV that are in the warehouse.

Smoove ASRV is the result of almost seven years of studies through the collaboration of university research centers, companies specialized in the design and implementation of systems for automation and control, and above all through the experience gained over decades of activities from the ICAM, in the design of intelligent warehouses and automatic archives.

The power of internet

La Mercanti is growing up day to day thanks to its innovation. It is using the power of the internet to expand the traditional Made in Italy office furniture business throught the World Wide Web.

Now, you can find La Mercanti also on PRWeb where dr Marco Olivieri, President of Sales says:

One of our most important resources, in addition to our personnel, know-how, strategies and innovation, is our reputation: from 1997 we plan and supply Office spaces and Community.

What is our purpose? Enabling people to purchase certified 100% italian office furniture at first hand, eliminating the expenses of a “middleman”. This allows the consumer to buy the best Italian brands at the most attractive prices.

And you, you’re reading now these words, what do you think of the power of the internet and of the possibility to buy office furniture on the web? We are really interested in your opinion 🙂

Good lighting is essential

In your office as in any space where you live, good lighting is essential.
Ideally you want as much natural daylight as possible. If your space has a window, it will enhance the lighting.
Daylight is the most evenly balanced source of white light available, in that sunlight has an approximately equal proportion of each color of the spectrum. The color of natural light also differs based on geographic location. It is always beneficial to have as much natural light as possible in the working area.

If in your office no daylight is available, a combination of general and task lighting will be required. A high-quality task light will be essential for late nights or cloudy days. If your office is in a room without windows, check out daylight-replicating light sources that will provide energy-efficient, full-spectrum lighting.
Many ergonomic task-lighting fixtures have dimmer switches so you can control the amount of light.
The most effective lighting brings out the fullest quality of the colors illuminated. If lighting levels are too low, there can be negative psychological effects, including depression.

For human comfort, a yellow-cast illumination is best. It is the color of brightness, and midway through the color progression from cool to warm.

To avoid glare, don’t place overhead lighting directly above computer screens, and don’t put a computer screen directly in front of a light source. That will cause eyestrain. Infact, overhead lighting and computer monitors just aren’t a great combination. Adding in a desk top lamp can do wonders to relieve eye strain and to create some additional warmth to a room that can typically feel cold and overly electronic. Some spaces work well with adjustable height task lamps, while others do great with more conventional styles. Try making the bottom of your lampshade just higher than the height of your monitor. It will go a long ways to producing the most light possible without overpowering your screen.

Energy guidelines are leading to new reduced-light levels in offices that are easier on the eyes. The most critical factor with lighting is the ability to control its brightness and intensity.
