La Mercanti will visit Milan Furniture Fair “Salone Internazionale del Mobile” and “Milan Design Week“, the global benchmark home-office design exhibition. The show showcases the latest in furniture and design from Italy and other countries around the world, it is considered a leading venue for the display of new products by designers of furniture, lighting and other furnishings.
Artists and designers make the annual pilgrimage to Milan because of its universal appeal and above all for the quality of its global offer. It is important for different aspects: Economic impact, social influence, and academic value. It is an innovative choice to change the show from an exhibition of products to an exhibition of ideas.
Jean Nouvel will exhibit Project: offices for living, a project exploring potential ways to improve the architecture of offices, a number of different suggestions as to how office architecture will develop in the future.

Salone Ufficio in Milano: news
La Mercanti was at Salone Ufficio that was held at the Milan Fair from April 12th to the 17th.
Various events took place also around Milan, alongside to the usual series of “Fuori Salone†in the field of home furnishings, design and lighting, that have staged some well-known manufacturers of office furniture: Herman Miller, Knoll, Sedus, Martex, IVM among the others.
The companies involved inside the Salone, certainly enjoyed the advantage of being “among the few†in the office field but evidently have also been capable of stimulating the visitors’ curiosity promoting initiatives in an original and attractive way.
For some companies like Frezza, Della Valentina, Las Mobili, Codutti, Fantoni the “Salone†event was an occasion mainly dedicated to the new products; for others more, such as Las Mobili, Quadrifoglio, Vaghi, Della Rovere, the objective was to emphasize and highlight the peculiarities of its offer.

Alongside the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, now in its 48th edition, together with the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition this year will be Euroluce, the eagerly-awaited International Lighting Exhibition that sets the sectorial benchmark with its wide range and broad spectrum of goods that go to make up a unique lighting sector scenario embracing both technological and formal innovation.
The exhibition focused on twelve key areas where recent material developments have made a significant impact: eco-effectiveness, fiber reinforcement, security, sound absorption, foam alternatives, advances in molding, translucency, functional and decorative surfaces, advances in leathers, heat and the biopolymer revolution.
A highlight of the exhibition was a display of groundbreaking products that demonstrate an exceptional use of advanced materials and a clear commitment to the environment.
