Since December we were in contact with Mr. Boris Berns, a private client who intends to renew his home studio in the United States.

Very firmly on the choice, he asked us to develop a project with ATHOS line by IVM Office, a product with contemporary lines, made of innovative materials where the mixture of the finishes laminate, leather primofiore and elm spreads a sense of elegance and sobriety. Besides the complete desk with a suspended pedestal and another on wheels, Mr. Berns has also asked us a boiserie made of the same material with glass shelves.
Then to complete the furniture, the beautiful table lamp Taj by Kartell, design by Ferruccio Laviani.

Mr. Berns has been very glad to have chosen for his studio all the furniture made in Italy.

Sustainable Modular Management, Inc. (SMM) provides custom commercial modular construction and design. It is a modular building supplier/general contractor and delivers new and used modular buildings, classroom portables, modular medical clinics and healthcare buildings throughout the United States and Canada.

The CEO Nick L. Mackie needed a desk for his office and he chose LLT OFX executive desk and LLT consolle by Fiam Italia, designed by Dante Oscar Benini.

Both of them are in transparent glass, the material par excellence that represents Fiam production.

Among La Mercanti customers there is Silicon Mobility, a company located in France. It is a semiconductor fabless company that designs, develops and markets solutions for cleaner, safer and smarter mobility.

Mr. Fresneau, VP Sales and Marketing, needed for a reception desk with clean, linear and functional design, for this reason his choice fell on the reception counter Z2 by Officity.

It uses modular elements combining two colors: the structure in white melamine and the upper module in lacquered dark gray, which gives a touch of sobriety and elegance to the reception area.

Biuro Obsługi Prawnej Janina Zinska is a famous law firm located in Poland. The lawyer Tomasz Zinski chose La Mercanti to furnish his two new offices.

Since the beginning he was focused on two specific desks by Della Rovere: Uno desk designed by Karim Rashid and Larus, designed by Studio Stramigioli Associati.
About Uno, he decided for the body in cloud white glossy lacquered and the melamine box in aluminium colour.
While for Larus desk he preferred the top in extra clear glass and the legs in a lacquered personalized yellow colour.

The futuristic design of Uno desk with ergonomic and soft forms on one hand, and the fusion between aesthetics and functionality of Larus on the other hand, create a design and practical workspace at the same time. Excellent choice!

In December 2015, we have been contacted by dr. Stefano Bertuzzi, CEO of the American Society for Microbiology based in Washington in the United States. He needed to set up his new office, divided into an executive office and a connected meeting room.

About office furniture he chose the line Cx by Frezza, while for the executive chairs we proposed the Aston Syncro by Arper. Being the spaces defined and interspersed with architectural elements such as classical fireplaces and windows in the Art Nouveau style, we created a layout and provided the dimensions to the HR manager, Kim Shankle, with whom we came in contact to define all the details for the supply.

The furniture have been installed, they arrived intact thanks to the specially made wooden packaging to ensure a safe transport, also thanks to the professionalism of the American installers to which we provided all the arrangements. The result obtained was excellent. Both Dr Kim Shankle and Dr. Stefano Bertuzzi are enthusiastic about our work and our products.

La Mercanti furnishes a very elegant and classy conference room in Switzerland for Onyx Properties, Fund for private Investments (FPI) SA.

Marica Corvaro, the employee we got in contact with, chose the table Omega by Codutti. One of the distinctive feature of this product is the refined and innovative finishes, that contribute to creating a luxury atmosphere.
The table with oval shape, has an ebony dyed oak wooden top with a central thick leather band in Ardesia colour with bilateral doors for the cables to come out.
Also the three central columns are covered in thick leather with a chrome-plated flush band at the basement, that gives brightness to the table and makes it very precious.

Italian office chairs for the famous University of Oxford, in the United Kingdom.

Professor Rory Collins, from the Nuffield Department of Population Health – Medical Sciences Division, needed an executive chair for his office.
Thanks to his personal assistant Shelley Yates he got in touch with our company, asking for one Light chair by Luxy, upholstered in black leather with high backrest, and with both the base and the armrests in polished aluminium.

The conference table IMeet by Las Mobili: we can see it in the film The Martian, released in the United States on October 2, 2015 and in Italy on October 1. The Martian was directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Demon. It was based on a screenplay by Drew Goddard that was adapted from Andy Weir’s 2011 novel The Martian.

Critics are calling this science fiction film “a funny, thrilling ride, and a return to form”. The protagonist stars as an astronaut who is mistakenly presumed dead and left behind on Mars. The film depicts his struggle to survive and others’ efforts to rescue him.

It received several accolades including 6 Academy Awards and 3 Golden Globes.
